How has the world you come from shaped your dreams and aspirations? Growing up my parents instilled in me that I am entitled to nothing unless I work hard for it. This simple lesson has pushed me to accomplish many of my goals throughout my life. Something I was uncomfortable with was public speaking and I saw participating in the Miss America Organization as an opportunity to strengthen my public speaking skills. I have spent countless hours researching and applying principles others have to taught me and have become more confident in my ability to portray my opinions in a public arena. I am so grateful to my parents for teaching me the importance of hard work from a very young age.

Of all the ways you could succeed in your life, why have you chosen to succeed in the Miss America Competition? I have chosen to participate in the Miss America Organization because I firmly believe that through this organization we teach young women to be strong, successful and well-rounded and this prepares them to go into the world and make change happen.

What social issue, other than your Social Impact, will have the greatest impact on your generation and why? Self-image is one of the largest issues in my generation. We must teach young girls and boys to love themselves for who God created them to be. By also teaching the youth to uplift others and encourage positivity and confidence this will leave a lasting impact on future generations.
